1. I learned that I am a very good assistant office manager, I huge thing I learned about myself during WLE is: even though I think my work is bad, other people think differently. This has allowed me to make my own decisions, strong and effective decisions on my own that my mentor appreciates.
2. One of the biggest challenges I faced was not understanding everything, I've never been to Ochoa before WLE and I had to learn room locations and everything about the school so I could help people and parents navigate around the school. I also needed to learn how to use the phone, how to write late slips, and much more. All this stuff I needed to learn in the first few days was crucial to how I performed in the long run and has a huge affect on my work out put.
3. There were not many life lessons in this work, like I said in #1, I learned that: my opinions on my work are different from other people opinions. I found that some of the work I did, I was not proud of, but my work still impressed my co-workers and I feel more confident in my work now not only at my WLE but also in class and in my personal life.
4. My creativity came into effect when I would have to use effective problem solving, to overcome certain tasks I would sometime go on my own to solve these problem and I think of creative and simple ways to solve my problems. Since this hasn't stopped me from getting strong feedback, I think it is working quite nicely.
5. My WLE placement affected a variety of people: staff, students and parents. Staff I was able to do aarons for them and make their work a little easier. For students, I was able to direct them from place to place, write late slips, etc. With parents, I was able to navigate them to where they needed to go, translate for spanish speaking parents, and help parents who were concerned with there childen.
6. I've always believed this and so do many at us at Impact believe it. OFFICE MANAGERS RUN THE SCHOOL. This just makes me think about how we don't appreciate our office manager, Linda, as much as she deserves *hint hint*. I think there should be a national office manager day. But getting back on topic, as an office manage you are doing a whole variety of work and are constantly working. I learned how difficult and stressful all this work is.
7. Refer to number 3.
8. I would respond by staying I became a part of the staff at Ochoa, almost all the staff knew who I was and knew what I was capable of. This allowed me to really excel in this environment and do great things, such as my WLE Project, and how that impacts everyone.
9. Well by learning that my opinion differs from other people's opinions, this has aloud me to be more comfortable with my work and have a stronger work output. Since people's opinion have made me nervous in the past and lowering my work output, so I know what found another way to strengthen my work output at home, school and at my WLE.
